Introduction

The Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC), (Carrer opportunity management trainee programme) a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), Government of Pakistan, is dedicated to the exploration, mining, and marketing of various minerals. In line with our commitment to developing young professionals, we are excited to offer an on-the-job training opportunity through our Management Trainee Programme. This one-year contractual engagement is designed to build capacity and skills without constituting an employer-employee relationship, and there is no obligation for PMDC to offer regular employment post-training.

 

Programme Details

The Management Trainee Programme is a one-year contract aimed at providing young professionals with valuable industry experience. Trainees will work in specific disciplines under the guidance of experienced professionals.

 

Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply

Pakistani nationals with a local or foreign bachelor’s or master’s degree (minimum 16 years of education) from an institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0.

Graduates from the year 2023, with or without post-qualification experience.

Maximum age of 28 years on the date of the advertisement.

Disciplines and Positions

Management Trainee (Mining)

Posts: 5

Qualification: BE/BS in Mining Engineering (recognized by Pakistan Engineering Council)

Management Trainee (Geology)

Posts: 5

Qualification: Bachelors/Masters in Geology

Management Trainee (HR)

Posts: 2

Qualification: MBA/Masters in HR

Management Trainee (Finance/Accounts)

Posts: 3

Qualification: ACCA/ACMA/CIMA

Application Process

Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria outlined above.

Applicants are required to show up on both the written exam and the interview.

The selection will be merit-based, with the following weightage:

30% on educational qualifications

40% on test performance

30% on interview evaluation

Selection Procedure

Selected candidates will receive a lump sum monthly stipend of PKR 80,000.

 

Requests the fact that are not timely or complete won’t be accepted. For the assessment and an interview, only those who have been shortlisted will be contacted.

Neither TA nor DA will be offered the interview.

Monthly stipend: PKR 80,000
