2. Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, focusing on spices, vegetables, and other essential ingredients.

Identify and qualify suppliers/vendors, negotiate contracts, and establish strong partnerships to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality raw materials.

Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes to make informed sourcing decisions and mitigate risks.

Stay vigilant and follow seasonal trends and impacts.

Work together with cross-functional teams to match business goals with procurement initiatives.

Manage procurement budgets, track expenses, and optimize costs without compromising quality or service levels.

Lead supplier performance evaluations, address issues promptly, and drive continuous improvement in supplier relationships.

Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence.

3. Requirements

Graduation from a reputable institution.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant procurement, with a focus on sourcing raw materials in the food industry.

Extensive knowledge of spices, herbs, vegetables (fresh and brined), chemicals, and other ingredients used in food manufacturing.

a track record of success in cost optimization, the management of suppliers, and negotiation.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze market data/trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage priorities under pressure.

Proficiency in MS Office suite.
